Paisley Dodds
The New HumanitarianInvestigations Editor
Paisley Dodds is the investigations editor for The New Humanitarian, a news outlet that covers conflict, humanitarian crises, and holds the multibillion dollar aid sector to account. Prior to this role, she spent more than 20 years at The Associated Press in numerous roles. Two of her most recent posts were as AP's London bureau chief for a decade, and as a member of the international investigations team where she focused on a series of UN sex abuse investigations. I'd love to brainstorm with people about potential reporting partnerships, how to better investigate the often opaque aid sector, where to look for data sets and how to get better visibility for our small newsroom that punches well above its weight. We're also always on the look-out for talented investigative and data journalists – especially from the Global South. Oh, and, please vote for me as a new GIJN board member! I would love to pay it forward by sharing my experience the I've learned over the years, as well as learning from others in this network.
