Dr. Damian Carrington is Environment Editor at the Guardian, which he joined in 2008. He has been a journalist for 25 years and previously worked on staff at the Financial Times, New Scientist and BBC News Online. He has a PhD in geology from the University of Edinburgh, where he also did post-doctoral research.
