Francine Compton is the Associate Director of the Indigenous Journalists Association (IJA), she previously serves as President of the IJA board for two and a half years. She spent 21 years working as a reporter, director, video journalist, host, and executive producer for APTN News and two years as assignment producer for the CBC’s Indigenous Unit. She is Anishinaabe and a citizen of Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation.
