Jocelyn Ting-Hui Hung Chien (TUHI MARTUKAW, 洪簡廷卉) hails from the Kasavakan Community of the Pinuyumayan Peoples in Taiwan. She has a BA in Diplomacy from the National Chang-Chi University in Taiwan and an MA in European Studies from the University of Hamburg in Germany. Currently, she is the coordinator and founder of the LIMA Taiwan Indigenous Youth Working Group, a member of the board of directors of the Association for Taiwan Indigenous Peoples' Policies, and a PhD student in Communication Studies.
Since 2014, Tuhi Martukaw has worked as an indigenous journalist. Based on her experience in grassroots social participation and, from an indigenous perspective, Tuhi Martukaw tries to transform the learning and knowledge acquired throughout her life into short documentaries and journalistic reports. In March 2020, Tuhi Martukaw changed the trajectory of her career to become more politically oriented and began working in Parliament with a determination to promote the rights of indigenous peoples and human rights through her direct involvement in politics. .
