Luuk Sengers is an independent investigative data journalist, mentor, lecturer and trainer. His articles, on the impact of powerful corporations on our environment and climate, appear in the leading Dutch magazine De Groene Amsterdammer, and his training courses in investigation methods, data journalism and interview techniques have been followed by thousands of professionals and students on four continents. Sengers co-developed the internationally renowned Story-Based Inquiry method and co-authored eight books on investigative journalism, including the VVOJ’s Handbook for Investigative Journalists (2022) and several handbooks published by Unesco and the Centre for Investigative Journalism (CIJ) in London. He also advises media, investigative teams and NGOs on organizing and implementing investigative projects.
