Dr. M. C. Rasmin is a highly accomplished media development expert with a specialized focus on free media, media and peacebuilding, media and gender, governance, and youth engagement within the context of inclusive democracy. With an extensive and impressive career, Dr. Rasmin has held prominent roles, including serving as the Senior Partnership Director and Deputy Chief of Party at the International Research Exchanges Board. He is also renowned for founding and leading the Sri Lanka Development Journalist Forum as its Director/CEO.
Furthermore, Dr. Rasmin is a Founder Director of the International Foundation for Digital Child (IFDC). Additionally, he serves as an advisor to the Sri Lanka Working Journalists Association, an affiliate of the International Federation of Journalists (IFHJ), and is actively involved with Road to Rights, a global youth network.
He has served as a visiting lecturer at esteemed institutions such as the University of Colombo, University of Peradeniya, University of Jaffna, University of Vocational Technologies, and KIIT University in India. Moreover, he has made significant contributions as a Senior Lecturer at the SLTC Research University.
Dr. Rasmin's areas of expertise are wide-ranging and encompass critical subjects, including media literacy, pluralism, new media, investigative reporting, mobile journalism, storytelling, human rights, and social justice.
