Matt Hansen

Matt Hansen is a writer, editor, and project manager with more than a decade of experience crafting both words and strategies for major publications and organizations. His writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Chicago Tribune, and The Week magazine, among other publications. He's has also worked on projects related to international press freedom and security for local reporters. Beginning in 2011, he helped establish and grow Global Journalist Security (GJS), the United States’ leading provider of safety training to journalists and humanitarians working in high-risk environments.
