The Bureau of Investigative Journalism Miriam Wells is Impact Editor at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism; she will soon take up a new role as Impact Editor at The Examination. She has built a strategy that takes investigative journalism off the page and into the world, ensuring through a collaborative and creative approach that it connects with key audiences, benefits affected communities and helps drive top-down and bottom-up change. She speaks regularly to newsrooms around the world about journalism's role in change, how to embed impact thinking into editorial processes whilst maintaining rigorous journalistic standards, and the business case for impact strategy. She has been a journalist for 20 years, with a career spanning local and national newspapers, BBC television and radio, VICE News and three years as a foreign correspondent in Latin America.
