
Stephane Horel
Stéphane Horel is an investigative journalist at Le Monde. Author of several documentaries and books, she specialises in corporate harm, toxic industries and scientific disinformation. She coordinated the “Forever Lobbying Project” (2025) and the awarded "Forever Pollution Project" (2023), which revealed the extent of contamination by ‘forever chemicals’ PFAS in Europe and for which she received the European Science journalist of the year award. She won the European Press Prize for Investigation for the "Monsanto papers" with Stéphane Foucart in 2018, and has twice been awarded the Louise Weiss Prize for European Journalism (2017, 2024). A passionate practitioner of cross-border journalism, she enjoys developing innovative investigation methodologies. She also loves cheese.
