Henk van Ess

Dutch-born journalist and trainer Henk van Ess has trained Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists of The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal in open source research – the art of finding public information often hidden in plain sight. In addition to his work as a trainer for GIJN, he serves as an assessor for Poynter’s International Fact-Checking Network and is visiting professor of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Phoenix.  He is also an instructor for highly regarded bootcamps around the world.
